Pukkelpop and Stad Hasselt join forces once again for the fifth edition of PKP DWNTWN, taking over the heart of the city the week in the run-up to the festival. On Saturday the 9th of august, the city centre becomes the vibrant stage for live music, DJs, urban sports & side activities.

Little Waves is an alternative indoor music festival, presented by C-mine Genk & Absolutely Free Festival, taking place on the 19&20th of april at C-mine, Genk. For the festival's 10th jubilee edition, new life was breathed into their identity.

Design

This year’s visual identity draws visual cues from the overarching volume of Hasselt's new town hall 't Scheep, translating its sharp geometry into a playful but assertive graphic system. The poppy colours add to the festive feel, contrasted with some black and grey tones to give it a raw, street-level attitude that fits the city-centre takeover.

Motion

The cantilevered shapes are translated into the motion identity. Ultra-wide angle shifts exaggerate perspective and depth, creating a vertigo-inducing visual language that mirrors the bold architectural lines of ’t Scheep.
