Corthouts Advocaten is a Hasselt based law firm that looks back on 60 years of experience.
A new identity was crafted, honoring the firm’s legacy while positioning it for the future.

Little Waves is an alternative indoor music festival, presented by C-mine Genk & Absolutely Free Festival, taking place on the 19&20th of april at C-mine, Genk. For the festival's 10th jubilee edition, new life was breathed into their identity.

Design

The visual identity takes a fresh spin on the classic Lady Justice scales. The tilted diagonal design introduces an elegant, contemporary feel, steering away from overused legal clichés like gavels and courthouse columns —simple, bold, and a little unexpected. It’s all about showing balance without being stuck in the old ways, symbolizing the firm’s modern approach to law.

Motion

Shifting scales — The motion mirrors the visual identity’s concept of balance, with two sides smoothly shifting like a weighing scale.
